How to deal with depression without medication


Today, the huge population is suffering from depression. It’s one of the common issues these days that are growing day by day. Such issue may be very common but it requires attention and well treatment. Depression is a phase where you feel helpless and have no hope to make things right. Instead of having good and positive attitude, people suffer from negativity and bad feelings. However, it’s important to understand that you are not alone; there are lots of people outside who are going through the same thing. Depression can be avoided or be solved by taking few basic steps and changing your lifestyles routine.

What to do first if you are going through Depression

Well, Depression is one of those stages where people shut down their communication with everyone. It’s important for them to fight back and face this with a brave face. Depression is not meant for forever, few basic natural things can work as a treatment for the cure, and here is what you need to know about it:-

#1 Set your routine first

Set your routine. What you need to do, where you need to do and when to do, make a chart of your daily schedule. It is one of the solutions that can strip your depression from your life. Apart from that, if you get into a healthy routine, you won’t get a chance to overthink or overanalyzing about situations.  By setting a routine you will get a moto of what you are going to do every day, it will set different goals for you and after achieving them it will boost up your self-confidence. When you are in Depression, the feeling of not able to achieve anything and feeling useless is normal. By setting your routine and your goals will help in resolving those kinds of thoughts from your mind.

#2 Go outside. Get involved

Shutting yourself down from outside world is not going to help you in feeling better.  It’s crucial to go out and connect with nature. There are various things that will surely help, like sunlight which makes you relax and also releases endorphins. By doing this, it helps in reducing pain, and decreases the chances of cancer growth in the body.

#3 Eat. Eat and Eat

It is one of the effective ways to help out when you are going through depression. However, it is important to control the diet and understand what to eat.  Eat omega 3 fatty acids and Folic acid consist food which will help in reducing the feelings of depression.  However, make sure you make a diet plan which will not let you get overweight.

#4 Sleep is your friend

Depression is an enemy of sleep, for those who are feeling depressed they find hard to sleep.  Which make things worse as they get less rest and their body, as well as the mind which feel tired all the time. However, eliminating few things from your daily schedule can help you to sleep well. Try to not use any kind of devices like phone, laptop, or computer during your sleeping time. Also, do not nap during the day; let yourself tired at the end of the day. Apart from this, set when you are going to bed and make sure you don’t break your sleeping time.

#5 Do something, Anything

Depression kills inside excitement and happiness for new things. Make yourself involve in doing new things, don’t sit and let time fade away. It will just going to make you feel more depressed and will increase the negativity in your life.  You can go for whatever you like, in fact, you can even do your favorite things like painting and traveling etc.  Make sure you don’t give free space to yourself.

#6 Be responsible

Depression doesn’t let you do anything on your own, it makes you think that you are not good enough for taking responsibilities.  Also, in such situation, people don’t want to take responsibilities which break their connection with their regular lifestyle.  But, try to not avoid your daily work and do what you are assigned for. By this, you can connect with your daily life and maintain your self-confidence that works as an important tool for fighting back. If you are not a full-time worker, then you can go for part-time or freelancing options as well. Also, you can take different classes related to your hobbies or whatever things you like to learn or to do.

#7 Exercise and Meditate

Instead of lying lazily and doing nothing all day, move your body and do exercise. By doing exercise, your body releases happy-making endorphins which actually work as an antidepressant. This is one of the natural ways to kill your depression forever. Also, you can do meditate which is another natural way for fighting back the depression.  It helps to uplift your mood and makes your day bright.  Apart from making you feel better, Meditate and Exercise help in staying you fit and healthy. These things will help you to work better with your recovery period.

#8 Don’t let yourself lose hope

During such time, there are various places and person who can help you but it’s you who can really make this happen. That’s why it’s important to don’t let yourself fade away into thoughts of negativity and darkness. Boost up yourself, challenge yourself, and try new stuff which can make you happy again. Instead of getting depressed over failing, try to fight back and start the whole thing again. Hope is something that you really need when you are depressed. Also, it’s hard to chill out and have fun when your mind is filled with so much of thoughts. But don’t let these things build a barrier for you, Break it and make your own way to get the happiness you deserve. Go out with your friends, watch films, do picnic, spend time with your family and make yourself strong to face your negative side.
