Old December

You know, this is how a life is

You born, live, and get old

Just like the December

That comes with whitey, snowy cold

Eats up the heat and

Make sun lovable for everyone

But, we forget that December too

Gets old

The older December gives more chill

Like an old dream which is still hard to kill

But as I said it before

You born, live, and get old

Just like the December

Someday you may forget the date

Memories will too fade away

Just like December

This shall too pass away

And guess what?

Sun will melt all that snow on the shields

Your mornings won’t be colder enough

Enough to freeze you

In the moment

Like it used to before

Just like December

But hey, December too gets old

It soaks up the bonfire, rum, words

And gives nothing in return

Except the cold, dew, and icy wind

To make you realize the worth of Sun

Love the Sun, love the warmth and when you do

Decembers will come and pass like they used to

The nights will be surely chilling,

But this time, with a little comfort, hugs, and kisses.

And, you won’t hate the old December anymore.
